Motivational Quotes from Ulysses Poem?
I need to write a motivational speech for English, I decided to have a role of a Human Rights Advocate, so I need quotes from the poem Ulysses by Alfred Lord Tennyson to go with my motivational speech.
I want to use “I mete and Dole Unequal laws unto a savage race” however I do not understand what that line means, can anyone describe what that line means? And help with some other quotes that will work well in a speech?

Im looking for a motivational quote about your opponent working harder than you.?
I am going to try and describe this quote I heard once and have been looking for it for a long time, it is very important for me to find this. It is something along the lines of this:

My class and I put one together for our program director, and we included a quote on leadership but for this one, we prefer a quote to express appreciation. Any motivational/inspirational quote would work as well. Thank you in advance.
