Your Questions About Motivational Quotes For Work

Linda asks…

Why am I always so depressed?

I know that there are less fortunate people out there, compared to them, i have a pretty good life.

I have a parent(my parents divorced when i was small and my dad’s back in japan right now), i have a roof over my head, i have food, i have education. the only flaws i can pick out is my childhood, my mom got a job in a small town and brought me there, being literally the only asian there i was teased, i wasn’t beaten up, but everyday i was called godzilla, people would do the asian eye thing, they would call me fat, i was utterly alone for two entire years. i had ONE friend after a year, whom i considered my best friend, but after a year she sent me a e-mail saying she never actually liked me, i was once again alone. unable to bare it i grabbed the opptertunity of my mom getting a job in ottawa and left for good. my mother never knew what was going on, i was too embarassed to tell her, over time i became angry because she would never know what was going on, i always thought, “oh my god! how stupid are you!?” everyday she would come home smiling, trying to kiss me, like nothing was wrong. i was so annoyed. When i got there, i was normal, but eventually i became afraid and i stayed in all day, and became fat, i’m still fat to this day because i because obsessed with the computer over that period. now i have this thing in my head where i think my mom is a retard, i think its from the small town…

but right now, i have a lot of friends, nobody ever calls me fat, and i feel better. but as soon as i get home, i get on the computer, and i become depressed again, i tried to help myself, motivational quotes and stuff, but they dont work, please help?

i get jealous when i see my friends talking to each other on facebook, and i get like 0 notifications.
even now, when my mom comes in my room, i switch tabs so she wont see, i don’t want her to see, because she’ll ask questions, and when i try to explain she never gets it, then we’ll probably get into an an argument which just makes me feel worse.

my parents never told me they love me, i know they probably do but…
i think it’s an asian thing, they tend to be more “get good marks, become a doctor so you’ll have a good life!” she never said anything like “you’re not my daughter!” but she never said she loved me.

admin answers:

Just realize you are stuck on this planet like the rest of us, so make the best of it. I get depressed too. We all have problems. Some people’s lives look so easy, but you really don’t know. Things can look different on the surface. Be thankful for your life. It is a gift. Be thankful for what you have. I find what has kept me going in life is the words of the Bible. Nothing compares to the Bible. It is my favorite thing in the whole world.

Donald asks…

Lack of motivational skills–esp. to lose weight? Help?

I am 16 years old and on a fairly strict diet/exercise regimen. It’s been working; I’ve lost 4 lbs. already in under 2 weeks, but I’m starting to find it harder and harder to motivate myself to get up and do the exercise, even though it’s not very difficult work. I really, really want to be thinner; I’m not very heavy but I’m a good deal heavier than most girls I know (admittedly I live in a really rich town with snobs…) and I am transferring schools most likely next fall and I want to be thin and in shape in case I find anyone special, and just to generally make a good impression.
The thing is, I’ve always had a lack of motivational skills. Not to boast, but I’m pretty smart; I’ve won various achievements and awards pertaining to academics and got into 3 honors courses in freshman year (though the school I’m at now doesn’t offer honors courses), but I didn’t work hard at all to get there… I pretty much half-as*ed everything I did, knowing I would be fine; and if it was something important or big I’d wait until the very last minute to do it. I don’t do chores at my house really, except for on occasion… Even with my health I’m lazy (besides the whole fitness thing)…I have good hygiene, but when it comes to doing physical treatments for my respiratory disorder (Cystic Fibrosis) I’ve always had a habit of waiting until my parents are practically red in the face yelling at me to do them.
Do you have any advice??? I’m already in therapy… I have bipolar II disorder, OCD, and anxiety disorder, if that helps. But I really need to pick it up with doing my exercises and all. Any inspirational advice or quotes would be great… Please help. Thank you!!

admin answers:

Buy a copy of I Can Make You Thin by Paul McKenna. Worked for me. I was on a diet for 5months and couldn’t have made it without his NLP therapy techniques.
Or you could go to the I Can Make You Thin website, sign in, and watch the motivational videos for free.
I personally do not know of a better way. He teaches that imagination is stronger than willpower.
You won’t have to fight to lose weight if you change your thinking. It also might help you get motivated to do you respiratory treatments too.

Ken asks…

pick a quote and explain why you like it – - quotes listed inside. or pick one!?

pick a quote out of these; or find a quote about anything that you honestly love and you look up to, and say why you like it; if you can :)

1.) You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true. – Meredith Grey

—————————————————————————————————

2.) At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don’t really expect it. Its like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And its not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away. – Meredith Grey

__________________________________________________________

3.) At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don’t keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That’s how we’re made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines… that are way too dangerous to cross. – Meredith Grey

_______________________________________________________

4.) you’ve got enemies? good that means you’ve stood up for something in youre life – eminem

_______________________________________________________

5.) If you walked by a street and you was walking a concrete and you saw a rose growing from concrete, even if it had messed up petals and it was a little to the side you would marvel at just seeing a rose grow through concrete. So why is it that when you see some ghetto kid grow out of the dirtiest circumstance and he can talk and he can sit across the room and make you cry, make you laugh, all you can talk about is my dirty rose, my dirty stems and how am leaning crooked to the side, u can’t even see that I’ve come up from out of that – Tupac Shakur

________________________________________________________

6.) But I see now that whether I show up for work or not, the evil forces are going to beat me. They’re going to come 100 percent, so if I dont be 100 percent pure-hearted, I’m going to lose. And thats why I’m losing. – Tupac Shakur

________________________________________________________

7.) what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.

_________________________________________________________

I love all these quotes; my favorite would have to be # 3. To me it is really motivational but it reminds you some lines will never be crossed and i shouldnt even bother trying to cross them and not to be scared to let people in my life because I am a person that has trust issues; i trust FEW people in my life. And even those people i sometimes doubt but i do have reasons behind it.

Okay :) youre turn!

“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. – Helen Keller”
This is my favorite quote!
Because it is true. The only way to becoming a stonger person is to make it through the hardships in life. The difficult times inspire you to do better and through struggling and hard work, you can achieve your dreams. If life was easy and everything just came to you without any kind of struggle, what would you learn in life??

Betty asks…

Choose the quote that inspires you the most?

I seriously love motivational quotes as they always make me feel better. :D
So, I have searched the net for some really good ones and i want to know which quote you guys like best. (Just curious)
If you’re wondering why there are so many quotes for students that’s because i’m one.

1)Author unknown: Teacher Quotations
There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

2)Vince Lombardi: Teacher Sayings
The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender.

3)Rabindranath Tagore: Teaching Quotations
You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.

4)He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

It basically teaches us to put thoughts into action, if we want to achieve something rather than just thinking and wasting time.

What are some good motivational quotes that are non-religious?

Things that deal with severe depression, hopelessness, lack of opportunity, lost opportunities, change, abuse, sadness, disability and poor health, loneliness, and envy. Basically anything that doesn’t rely on a belief in a “god” to make someone feel better. When I did a search I was mostly given “trust God” type spiels, which won’t help.

Does anyone have any quotes about motivation, or persistance or not giving up or anything like that?

admin answers:

Powder Keg of Boom!

Don’t waste your time listening to skeptics. If you got the talent, they’ll shut up. I would work on just getting your legs stronger, in the case that you are caught or have to run up the middle you have the strength to break some tackles. Other than that, just work on your different skill sets.

Someone mentioned earlier of running behind your bigger offensive linemen. Its a good strategy. If they can’t see you, they can’t get tackle you. Watch some tape of Ray Rice and MJD, both undersized backs. Shoot, Barry Sanders was on the smaller side at only 5’8”, and he’s definitely someone you can model your game off of.

Most importantly is get in that weight room and make yourself stronger. Nothing harder to catch that a smaller back who is both elusive and strong.

Motivational songs with quotes/speeches in them?

Anybody know any good one’s to rip off Youtube?

I used to have a bunch of WWE style music and then some guys had made them, and say for example 1 minute into it or every few minutes there would be dialogues in it of the wrestlers speaking etc etc

Also after 9/11 Linkin Park did a Tribute I think – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WkUWv8dhxw

I love this kind of stuff with lyrics in the background with dialogues etc

Anybody know any good stuff like this on Youtube to pump/workout to? I find this kind of stuff really motivates on another level

Kind of like in sports games, when they are doing the build up to a match or something you have a 2 minute promo of highlights mixed with voices of the players/managers in the background to get people amped

Any links people?

Lisa asks…

Am i going to go no where in life?

Im only 14 and i know im never going to be successful. I’m in 8th grade and my whole family tells me I need to pull my act together. I have 0 motivation to do anything. I hate doing homework completely and i basically put it off and end up not doing it. I can never wake up in the morning. It’s basically impossible. I’ve been late to school more then anyone in my grade. In the mornings I’ll realize i didn’t do my homework and im tired so ill pretend im sick. Ive also been absent tons and tons of times. I think it was like 28. Im not smart, my last report card I got 1 B 0 A’s and 5 C’s and F and a D-. This marking period I know i have 2 F’s and a C-. I want to do good but im just too lazy. Im not good at sports and im not smart and i cant get my self to do anything. Next year is high school and i have to wake up an hour earlier and i cant miss 10 days of school or i get held back. I don’t know what to do. I basically tell myself if my parents take to a boarding school an separate me from my friends ( Idk why, but im like popular in my school.) or if the schools held me back that I’d drop out or idk kill myself, seriously Ive considered. I dont know what to do at all. I want to do good but its soo hard. I wish there were motivational pills out there because i need help and every website wth motivational quotes don’t help. Nothing does. RIght now my goal in life is to become i very successful criminal or go into war and serve the country so i can die for a good cause. (a lot of people say I’m like really good at planning out and getting away with doing illegal stuff or braking the rules.) I also really like money and I’ve always wanted to be rich, but I know i won’t be.

admin answers:

Could be depression or maybe just normal adolescence
sounds like me in 8th grade. I wasn’t exactly sad back then (looking back on it now) although I thought so then. But I would look into the situation now maybe talk to youre parents about how you feel (or your friends or a trusted adult) before it really blows up in your face like it did for me.

Your Questions About Motivational Interviewing

Lisa asks…

Shall I quit or hang in there?

Is it time to look for another job?
I am going to make this short as possible. I was hired at X amount of money salary with the motivational bonus of $10000 for performance within my job. Saying that that extra bonus for ++ performance is paid quarterly…..

Ok.. it’s July. No bonuses this year due to corporate decision due to company performing above budget. ( my job had NOTHING to do with financials.. ) But This has hurt my pocket book in a big way! My manager has been po’d like the rest of us.

I took a good look at my financials personally. I am a manager who is mondo responsible for all my employees. Yet.. I only make $1 that is one freaking buck higher than 2 of my employees.

I have an interview on Monday with another company. When they ask me my salary requirements I will be telling them the XXX amount which is what my current salary is plus the bonus … I think that is a good starting point..

Is it time to leave my old job????
17 minutes ago – 3 days left to answe
Thanks Amelia.. Telling your interviewers what you make is going to be difficult since it’s very complicated. What are they offering you? I’d be sure to have a new job before quitting the old one. After all, maybe the folks you’re working for now will give you a bonus in loyalty points.
But if you quit why don’t you go back to school and learn to write and think more articulately?,,,

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO SAID THIS TO ME. I MAKE VERY GOOD MONEY.. AND HATE TO SAY IT.. PROABABLY MORE THAN YOU. YOU ARE RUDE AND HAVE BEEN BLOCKED.

admin answers:

Well, generally speaking, the best time to look for another job is when you still have a job. It’s a good idea to keep your resume current and be on a look-out for greener pastures even when you are satisfied with you current job.

You are NOT satisfied with your current job. Whether it is a good time to leave your current job depends more on just the salary offered by a new job though. What are all the pros and cons you can think of in switching jobs? For example, will the new job make your resume look better? Will you learn new skills? Is the potential employer stable? If something goes wrong, will you be one of the first to be let go because you are new there? What about the people and corporate culture? Will you like working at the new job better than at your current job, where you know the people and culture (for better or worse)? There’s a lot of factors to consider.

Good luck. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

Daniel asks…

what would you do in such situation?

I am 30, without a proper job for past 2 years now. I do some odd hourly job every now and then to get by. My credit card debt is climbing. Honestly, I am in a foreign country for almost 6 years now. Hardly have any professional contacts in home country. Going back isn’t going to improve anything, it’s not like i have a job waiting for me there. Also, after being without job for over 2 years, i have nothing to talk about in a job interview. So the possibility of getting a job anywhere in the world looks very small.
In personal life, I don’t have any friends, or family here. I share the apartment with bunch of other guys to save on rent and other expenses.
I mean, if I am gone for good tomorrow, no one would really give a damn. Ofcourse the creditors might give a thought, roomies will have to clear out my things. Family in home country will say he is finally gone then. They say moving on is life, and stopping is death. If so, then I have been dead for long. Nothing happened in last 2 years that improved things ….everything just kept getting worse. Motivational responses usually are .. try to go out of the house, hit the gym, or involve yourself in something,.. these are lot easier said than actually put in practice. Honestly I don’t care for anything anymore. Its obvious that i am a loser in true sense. is there a point in continuing being a loser?
I do have a masters in engineering and I used to work as an engineer about 2 years back. Lately, I am doing odd labour jobs
It’s like i am beyond the usual ways out of the situation… i need something more. thanks for the feedback folks. I am still looking for more suggestions though

admin answers:

I have a housemate who is in exactly your situation. I’m draining my life savings to help him out. I don’t consider him a loser. This too will pass.

Jenny asks…

Dealing with low self esteem…?

I’ve recently become aware that I am suffering with severe low self esteem. To meet me, this would not be apparent; I’ve spent a long time perfecting the art of appearing happy and confident, whilst inside I’m in a constant battle with myself because I don’t think I’m good enough. I’m currently in a stable, loving relationship, and I’m terrified of ruining it with my negative thoughts and/or pushing him away because I believe he can do far better than me. I have a good job, but I’m not happy in it (it’s not what I want to do with my life) and have been turned down for promotion on three separate occasions because I get so anxious about interviews that I mess them up. I just don’t have any belief in myself or my abilities when it comes to the workplace. As I mentioned, this isn’t the job I want to be doing, nor is it what I envisaged myself doing, when I left university. I have always wanted to teach, but now I’m too scared to pursue it because I’m worried that this low self esteem issue will stick and I’ll be unsuccessful, leaving me with nothing. I’ve tried affirmations, self help books and watching motivational speakers on YouTube, but as yet haven’t found anything I connect with. One guy (Nick Vujicic?) was great, but I could only find a couple of short videos. What I’m looking for is advice on where I might be able to find help (in the UK), or any tips others who have been in this situation?

Huge thanks in advance.

Paul asks…

I was offered a job that is super sketchy… herbalife…. wellness…?

They gave this big “exciting”, “motivational” lecture where everyone was talking about how successful they are, how much money they make, how fun it is, and the people sitting in the chairs seemed like they were all in on it, clapping their hands, raising their hands when a speaker asked a question, laughing too much, etc. I was really weirded out because if it was a legitimate job, they wouldn’t have to “sell” me on it right? They could just interview me and hire me, or not. Well, even though they DIDN’T say it at the time, I am looking at a MLM (Multi-level-marketing) business, and they offer Herbalife products as well as health coaching and “weight loss challenges” for the clients. Anyway I don’t know if this is a scam or a waste of my time, what do you think?

admin answers:

As far as I know Herbalife is a legitimate company but it is direct sales. I don’t know much about them other than the name. Just because a company is multi level doesn’t necessarily mean that the company isn’t legitimate. The difference in a legitimate MLM company and one that isn’t sometimes boils down to whether they sell a product or simply bring people into the organization to make money.

Chris asks…

What college majors go with these attributes?

I was talking with my brother in law the other day and we were going over some majors and career options that would be good for the kind of person I am, but we didn’t really get to finish the conversation. So I put together a list.

this is the list I came up with(might be a little rough because I’m not too resume-savvy)

1. Want to know all the details(trivia junkie)
2. Curious to a fault
3. Work best under pressure(aka work best when time is of the essence), but also need to be able to work at my own pace & style
4. love to travel(hate working in the same place for too long)
5. Work best as a loner, but in the bigger picture as part of a team
6. awesome with wordplay
7. Love fresh perspectives(think…pictures of a neon flower behind a grey fence, the inside of a seashell, cool cloud formations, etc)
8. hate cookie cutter, factory style way of doing things(don’t do well with zero variation)
9. small, simple math is my friend(calculator is my toy)
10. taking a “stuck” problem in new directions(finding ways past the roadblocks)
11. “let’s pool our ideas, see what kind of puzzle pieces we get, but in the end the pieces have to be put together.” hate leaving things unfinished.
12. “How are you like” “tell me about you”(want to know all about other people. Interviews are fun)
13. like to present TO many at a time, but only take feedback one at a time(love forums, discussions, debates, expo’s, convention’s, etc.)
14. love to be in charge or part of a group that’s in charge(love working together for a common goal, but don’t do well with “sit down, shut up, and do what I say”)
15. Love doing independent research

some things I really want to do are run a cafe, but just with my system of doing things and employees, not me actually there all day every day. I also want to do something along the lines of a boutique or line for my fashions(they’re mainly dresses, but also a bit of theatrical costumes too), again with employees working under my system, not with me actually being there all day every day. I also want to be part of an independent research team of some sort that publishes articles in magazines, journals, etc. on health. One more aspect of this I want to do is presentations of the motivational speaking sort, on natural health mainly. And the last area I want to take this into is private clients. People would come to me and I would advise them on which foods and herbs and excercises and such would help their specific needs, and brides-to-be/directors would come to me for custom designs.(this is included for the private consulting part, I already know where to get certified for the subject.) Another huge passion of mine is being on the stage(the whole world’s a stage, lol), whether that’s singing, theatre, or behind or in front of a camera.

ssooo….out of all this mumbo-jumbo…what do you make of it? I’m a month away from getting my associates in liberal arts & sciences. Where do I go from here and how do I get there? What are some good college majors for these attributes, and what careers can they lead to?
(want to know the college major part mostly, not just “be a ______”)

p.s.please no “it’s your life, do what you want”, “be martha stewart”, or “hey you, I found the perfect solution *link to junk*” answers…

Thanks (=

Steven asks…

Does Jordan Chase’s motivational speech in the show Dexter send a good message?

SPOILER ALERT: Do not ready any further if you have NOT seen Dexter Season 5

Okay so the theme is “Take It!”, and it sounds like a great motivational saying but when you dig down into it, it’s a one sided phrase with a huge negative message. It seems to say Steal! and you’ll be cured. Not exactly Oprah sticker material. Am I correct in my interpretation or am I missing the message of the speech?

You’re right.. It’s not a good message.. The proper message should be “Earn It!”

admin answers:

William Wallace from BraveHeart

Wallace: Sons of Scotland, I am William Wallace.

Young soldier: William Wallace is 7 feet tall.

Wallace: Yes, I’ve heard. Kills men by the hundreds, and if he were here he’d consume the English with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse. I AM William Wallace. And I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What would you do without freedom? Will you fight?

Veteran soldier: Fight? Against that? No, we will run; and we will live.

Wallace: Aye, fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!!!

Wallace and Soldiers: Alba gu bra! (Scotland forever!)

admin answers:

I’m also always looking for good running/cycling/cardio machine music. Here’s some music (artist – album) that’s been on my MP3 player forever:

The Chemical Brothers – Exit Planet Dust (my all-time favorite)
The Crystal Method – Tweekend (Vegas will also wake the dead)
Moby – Play (a bit more “inspirational” perhaps)
Cheap Trick – At Budokan (thousands of screaming Japanese teenage girls)
Faithless – Sunday 8pm (“God is a DJ” is a wonderful starting track)
Massive Attack – Blue Lines (Mezzanine is also excellent)
U2 – The Best of 1980-1990 (lots and lots of U2 albums)

I usually don’t play entire albums when running, but instead create mixes. The albums above are exceptions.

I also check iTunes. There’s an iTunes Essentials playlist called “Total Workout: Cardio” that’s got 75 tracks that I think’s pretty good. I probably use at least 1/2 of those songs to create playlists.

Have a good workout!

Any good motivational words of wisdom? What keeps you motivated…?

…to do whatever it is that you do (exercising, going to school, being in a relationship)? When you get tired or injured or just burnt out. Why do you choose to keep going instead of giving up?

admin answers:

For me, I usually laugh a bit. Think about what I am really doing this for. And then mentally curse myself like:
“Is that it?…. Is that all I could do?….. Am I really that weak?….
NO!!!…. THAT CAN’T BE IT…. IF THIS IS ALL I CAN DO…. THEN I DEFINITELY DON’T DESERVE TO LIVE A HAPPY LIFE!!!…. MOVE BODY!….MOVE ARMS!…. MOVE LEGS!…
NO MATTER HOW HARD IT GETS….. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HEAR THE WORDS “CAN’T”, “IMPOSSIBLE”…. I AM JUST GOING TO TRY HARDER!!! “.

3 exams next week help…going nuts…Any motivational words out there? any techniques?

I am in my last year of university and studying in Portugal.
Well in one week I have 3 exams. This is my last chance (we are given 2 chances to pass). When I did them at first they actually went well but the grades were low. I don’t get it! I studied so much! Not sure what to study now since I am tired of studying and not passing. Any motivational words out there? any techniques?

admin answers:

Prepared the test taking tips below for a school that I was assisting and thought that it might be helpful for you.

The best way to be successful is to know your work because you have been conscientious in coming to class, paying attention, organizing your thoughts, coming to your own conclusions, doing your homework and asking questions if you do not understand something.

There are a number of techniques which you can use to prepare for examinations. Some of these techniques are a way of breaking down, organizing your thoughts and seeing the relationships, and patterns that exist within subjects and even between various subjects.

How Do I Use Critical Thinking Skills In Test Preparation And Answers
A. It is important to be able to sort words and phrases and to classify them. This is done by having categories. Items are sorted into categories identifying the defining characteristics. The skill used is called classification.

Topic to be classified: GOVERNMENTS
Categories:
Democracy
Dictatorship
Socialist
Communist
Monarchy
Each category may be ( classified) further broken up into:
How leader takes office
How laws are made
How laws are enforced
Citizen rights and responsibilities
How government services are paid for

B. Go through past exams, class notes, and your textbook and compile a list of terms that are important for your subject. Place the terms in groups that YOU feel are similar. Understand the relationship of these terms which should be the reasons(s) why you placed them in the category of your choice.

C. Many exams ask you to compare or to contrast two or more items.

Charles asks…

Who has some really really good inspirational quotes?

Ok, so I am a sophomore in college and well the first year didn’t go so hot. First semester went fine but I wound up academic probation after the second semester. No, no partying or anything like that, I was the normal student, going to class and working, plus I commuted to and from school so I wasn’t in a dorm room. I wanted to this year but due to financial issues and problems where loans are not possible, I am at home yet once again, but me and my parents talked it out (with some arguing of course) and they said they will help in making the home more of an environment for me to study (meaning no arguing and basically leaving me the hell alone when I am in dire need of studying and such). Anyways, I live in a decently sized house, lucky enough to get my brother’s old room (the whole attic upstairs) its all nicely remodeled. While my father pretty much created this apartment style living for then my brother (minus the kitchen and separate entrance, which sadly would have been awesome had it been done) a bunch of walls were put up. Every wall has something by it or on it, whether it is furniture or posters or even a calendar. One wall somehow managed to stay blank. Its in a good spot, perfect for a quote that I want to paint on. My thinking was since I have a really light almond color for my walls, I was going to buy gold paint and stencil out a really good inspiring quote, or I might just do it in black and put a little design by it. What I am looking for, and can’t seem to really find, is the quote that would inspire me to go through everyday and make something of myself. So if you guys have any really good quotes, whether it is your own or by someone famous in either history or the present (if so please include the name, I would like to have the quote recognized by who said it) please share it. Or even any websites with really good inspiring and motivational quotes and phrases would be very helpful. Also, any ideas to make this quote pop out and be more appealing to the eye would also be greatly apprieciated.

I was watching “A Cinderella Story” the other day and I got the idea from the scene in the diner with “Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game- Babe Ruth(?)”

I just think it’d be a really good idea to do this, because I pass by this wall everyday a bunch of times a day, so I would see and read it a lot, and it might help me reach my goals.

Thanks to all in advance!!

I think your quote is perfect and I would look no further. It is not mushy and you are letting him know you are grateful for the job he does. You do not need another quote. That is a great great thing you are doing and you should be proud. SEND THAT QUOTE!!

Paul asks…

Have any motivational tips for me?

I have officially reached to the point where even an inspiration quote, film, or book won’t get me up and energized. I admit, my lack of sleep may be effecting this, and even the winter blues (screw canada and it’s winters). But i need ways to get motivated, good ways! Im already starting some fitness work. What do you do? What can you think of?

admin answers:

As you said, it could be due to lack of sleep.

Get some sleep.
Listen to good music.
Take a break and go out somewhere nice you feel like going.

Your Questions About Motivational Songs

John asks…

Motivational songs that you would suggest for a mental health sufferer?

I am in the process of OCD recovery, and I need some songs that will motivate me to keep working hard. Any suggestions? No Christian music, please…I have nothing against christianity, it just isn’t what I want for now.

admin answers:

Any music with an upbeat and good vocal. If the lyrics make you feel good or the music has a great arrangement of instruments.

I can’t name actual songs because I don’t know what you like but try what I wrote and see how you feel.
